Privacy Policy

At Digitip we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. Digitip SAS is the data controller.
1. Data we collect
Account data (name, email, password hash), business data (company name, VAT, shipping/billing address), tipping data (amount, date, recipient staff member), payout data handled by Stripe (bank account, identity verification), and technical data (IP address, browser, language) used for security and analytics.
2. How we use your data
To operate the service (process tips, manage staff, issue invoices), to comply with legal obligations (accounting, tax, anti-money laundering), to improve the product, and to contact you about your account. We never sell your data.
3. Payments & Stripe
Card data is collected and processed exclusively by Stripe. Digitip servers never see or store card numbers. Stripe acts as an independent data controller for payment and KYC data. See stripe.com/privacy for details.
4. Sharing
We share data only with: Stripe (payments), Supabase (authentication & database hosting, EU region), Resend/our email provider (transactional emails), and authorities when legally required.
5. Retention
Account data is kept as long as your account is active, plus 3 years for commercial records. Accounting records (invoices, tips) are kept 10 years as required by law. You can request deletion at any time.
6. Your rights (GDPR)
You can access, correct, delete or export your data, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (CNIL in France). Email privacy@digitip.app to exercise your rights.
7. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access is restricted to authorised staff. We conduct regular security reviews.
